Creating Persistence On a Live Kali Linux Distro

  1. Download Kali Linux iso
  2. Write the image to the usb stick
  3. Boot the live usb stick
  4. Run the command gparted
  5. Create a new EXT4 partition
  6. Open a terminal and add the following commands (fix partnumber eg. sdc2 or sdc3 etc):
mkdir /mnt/usb
mount /dev/sdc2 /mnt/usb
echo "/ union" >> /mnt/usb/persistence.conf
umount /mnt/usb
