OpenWrt: link QSS button to Transmission

Edit /etc/hotplug.d/button/qss file (Or something like that in the dir, if not, create it):

if [ "$BUTTON" = "wps" ] ; then
 if [ "$ACTION" = "pressed" ] ; then
  TRANSSTATUS=$(ps | grep transmission | grep -v grep)
  if [ "$TRANSSTATUS" == "" ]; then
   /etc/init.d/transmission start
   logger -t qssbutton "Torrent start."
   /etc/init.d/transmission stop
   logger -t qssbutton "Torrent stop."

AsteriskNOW 2.x FreePBX: CDRs aren’t showing up in FreePBX

Need Asterisk addons: yum install asterisk-addons-mysql.i386

If there is a problem during the install:
asterisk-res_digium_phone-1.8.11_1.0.1-1_centos5.x86_64 from installed has depsolving problems

Remove the conflicting Digium package: yum -y erase asterisk-res_digium_phone.i386

Install mysql to asterisk: yum -y install asterisk-addons-mysql.i386

Restart: amportal restart

Windows 8: Cisco VPN Client fails to enable virtual adapter (error 442)

Solution #1:

Open regedit, and navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CVirtA key. Change DisplayName data property, cut it off before the semicolon value (the value may vary in some cases oem6.inf):

  • For x86, change the value data from “@oem6.inf,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapter” to “Cisco Systems VPN Adapter”
  • For x64, change the value data from “@oem6.inf,%CVirtA_Desc%;Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows” to “Cisco Systems VPN Adapter for 64-bit Windows”

Solution #2:

Use Shrew Soft VPN Client (free and cool):
